A global network working tirelessly in the heart of Asia to end human trafficking through systemic change, local empowerment, and compassion.
Through prevention, care, justice, networking, and advocacy, Talitha Kum Asia reached 167,371 people across 16 countries in 2025.
Of the victims and survivors supported, 8,308 were women and girls. Figures indicate the people reached through each area of activity in 2025.
Partner organizations include 66 Catholic organizations, 42 governmental and intergovernmental bodies, and 53 NGOs, working through three regional coordinations — Talitha Kum East Asia, South Asia, and South East Asia.
Talitha Kum strengthened prevention, survivor accompaniment, youth leadership, and cross-border collaboration. Community awareness initiatives in schools, parishes, youth groups, and villages promoted safe migration and vigilance against trafficking. Youth Ambassadors were empowered to raise awareness, educate their peers, and advocate through social media and community initiatives. In Thailand, anti-trafficking education was integrated into school curricula from kindergarten to Grade 12. Survivors received legal accompaniment, livelihood support, and reintegration assistance, while regional networking enabled the rescue and protection of survivors across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, and Cambodia. Inspired by the Jubilee theme Pilgrims of Hope, Catholic institutions and partners strengthened collaboration for systemic change.

We live in a world fractured by poverty, climate change, and forced migration — shadows that allow the tragedy of human trafficking to thrive. Yet, where the world sees only vulnerability, Talitha Kum sees resilience. As a Regional Representative, I am not here merely to lead, but to listen and to accompany. My commitment is to foster a synodal spirit where every grassroots voice is heard and every survivor's journey is honored.
